Holdsworth Carer Resources

A range of Carer Resources has been donated by Holdsworth to augment the Waverley Library collection of informative books and audiovisual material for people who are caring for someone who is frail aged, has a disability or has memory loss. The Holdsworth Carer Resources project waslaunched in February 2010 and they are held at Waverley Library, Denison St Bondi Junction.

Forthcoming events

2010 is Holdsworth's Year of Celebrating Diversity.Throughout the year we will celebrate diversity will special events, seniors outings to locations and restaurants from diverse cultures and multicultural themes to many of our regular activities.

Seniors Week 2010

Holdsworth will be having a number of event in and around Seniors Week

 

Wednesday 10 March: Holdsworth Community Centre, 64 Holdsworth St., Woollahra

In anticipation of Seniors Week Holdsworth Playgroup will host a visit from Chrissie Shaw (10.30 am) to present her children’s show Gran’s Bag. This  is a fun and puppet show where Chrissie brings a big red bag full of treasures and tells stories about Grans and their grandchildren. Flyer. Normal playgroup fees apply. No need to book.

 

 

Wednesday 24th March: “When Hollywood meets Bollywood”

Join us for a special screening of the classic “Bride & Prejudice” movie, together with Bollywood entertainment, refreshments and prizes for the best dressed!

• Rhythm of Life: the Holdsworth Community Choir! Thursdays 5.30 pm at the Centre - come along and sing to your heart's content! Choir Information Flyer

• Yoga For Seniors on Thursdays at 2 pm
• Woollahra Council has installed Rainwater tanks at Holdsworth Centre and the Community garden will be opened on 7th February.

Annual General Meeting

The 2009 Annual General Meeting of Holdsworth Community Centre Woollahra Inc. and Holdsworth Family Services Inc. was held on Thursday 24 September 2009 at the Centre. The 2009 - 2010 Board of Directors was elected and the Holdsworth Annual Report 2008-2009 ( PDF 1.5mb) was tabled.
