Welcome to Holdsworth Community Centre & Services.
Holdsworth aims to support the local community, forge links and
promote the well-being of all. We invite you to explore our site.
The
Holdsworth Community Centre is at the heart of the community
of Woollahra in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. From the centre
and other locations in the area we provide a range of recreational,
respite and support programs and activities which promote the
well-being of residents of our municipality and people in surrounding
areas, especially those disadvantaged by age, disability, income
or social isolation, families with young children and for those who are carers for others. We provide services directly
as well as being an important source of information, referral
and advocacy for our clients and their carers.

Do you have difficulty accessing public transport?
If you live in the Woollahra LGA you may be able to use our new Community Bus – a free service operating on Tuesdays and Fridays from April 2009.
Our quarterly Newsletter is
mailed to all our members and can be downloaded here as a PDF file.
Our annual fundraising cocktail party this year, was held at Redleaf. Our thanks to all sponsors. Funds raised that night will contribute to our Holdsworth Care Fund, a new initiative designed to allow us do many special things for Carers and their families.

Supporting Holdsworth
Volunteering
Volunteers play an integral part in our programs and the running
of the Centre with more than half of the people who work with us being volunteers. We welcome and encourage the involvement of enthusiastic
and committed volunteers, of varied ages, with different skills
and life experiences. The programs and services we run for the
community are enhanced by the contribution of volunteers.
We also have opportunities for students needing to complete
their placement requirements or job seekers looking for work
experience.
