Community Transport
Mobility and transport can be a big issue for older people and those
with disabilities. The integrated approach of the Holdsworth Centre
uses our extensive Community Transport Program to assist all our
service users. These services for residents of Woollahra
local government area are funded through
the HACC program (via
NSW Transport and Infrastructure), Woollahra Council
and the NSW Health Department.
Community Transport provides affordable, accessible
transport to people in the Woollahra local government area who unable to access public transport or without
access to private vehicle support. The Centre operates mini-buses
and station wagons for individual transport.
Shopping Buses

Shopping Buses offer a door to door bus service to either Bondi Junction or Edgecliff shopping centres. Buses have assistants who are able
to help with shopping on the return trip.
Individual Transport
An individual transport service is available Monday to Friday,
8.30
am to 5.30 pm for medical, dental and physiotherapy
appointments.
The individual transport service is available Saturday 9.00am to
4.00pm for social appointments in the Eastern suburbs area only.

Do you have difficulty accessing public transport?
If you live in the Woollahra LGA you may be able to use our new Community Bus – a free service linking Woollahra, Rose Bay, Watsons Bay and Vaucluse with shopping centres and medical facilities in Bondi Junction, Edgecliff, Paddington and Darlinghurst. See Brochure/Timetable.

The venture was launched in Seniors Week by Woollahra Mayor, Clr Andrew Petrie (pictured right with Holdsworth Director Michael Ryan)
Bookings are essential! To check if the bus times suit your needs and to book a trip, call the Community Transport team at Holdsworth 9302 3605 before 3 pm on the previous business day. We will call you back by 5 pm to advise when and where we will pick you up. Over time we will then develop a regular bus route that meets the greatest demand.
We will pick up and drop off almost anywhere in the Woollahra Municipality, within the time frames indicated on the timetable. This free service can be accessed by all, but priority will be given to people who are frail, aged or have difficulty accessing other forms of transport.
The Woollahra Link Community Bus Service is operated by Holdsworth Community Centre & Services and is jointly funded by
NSW Transport and Infrastructure, through the Home & Community Care (HACC) Program, and Woollahra Municipal Council.
All transport requires advance booking. Please call 9302
